LAWTON FORT SILL AMATEUR RADIO CLUB MINUTES 2 JUNE 2020 The Meeting was called to order by President Ron Clayton at 7:37 p.m. on 2 June 2020 via Channel 149.910. President Ron requested Roll Call of the Members and they complied. President Ron welcomed all to the Meeting. President Ron sent out the Minutes of the Meeting to the members to review and comment prior to the Meeting. There was a motion to accept the Minutes and a second and the motion carried. President Ron gave the Treasurers Report as $3139.03 as being the Balance. There were no questions. Th President stated that the Treasurers Report has been accepted as presented. OLD BUSINESS Membership Cards were made and mailed utilizing the addresses on File. REPEATERS. There was a discussion concerning which repeaters would be used. There was a discussion concerning the use of the 91 repeaters or 36 repeaters on the 3rd Thursday. There was a discussion concerning using the Simplex 52 Net on the Last Thursday. There was also a discussion concerning the use of the 36 repeater on the 4th Thursday. TRAINING There was a discussion concerning Training with Ron Grossman. There will be a Local Licensing Class which will be announced in the Lawton Constitution. There will be a 1 day Technician Class on Zoom. There will be a Class on-line from 0830 - 1730 hrs with testing on Sunday. Date to be announced. Paul G. stated he has no planned activities at this time. FIELD DAY Field Day Rules were reviewed by Ron Grossman NEW BUSINESS ELECTIONS Elections according to the Bylaws are scheduled to be at this Meeting. It was stated by President Ron that there were no nominations for the following Offices: President, Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. According to the Article 4 of the Club Constitution, nominations for the three Offices still can be accepted President Ron asked for nominations 3x with no nominations being offered There were no nominations heard so in accordance with Article 4 Section 1 of the Constitution of the Club, the present Officers can stay in Office if there are no successors. There was a motion made and seconded to keep the existing Officers. All affirmed to keep the Officers and the motion carried. The following Officers were Elected: President---Ron Clayton, Vice President Kurtis Holman, and Secretary/Treasurer Wendy Guthrie. President Ron congratulated the New Officers. ANNOUNCEMENTS There was a question as to where we would meet in July due to the fact that Voc-Tech would be close thru th3 end of June and possibly July 2020. If the Voc-Tech was not open we would be back on the radio---91 Repeater. There was a motion to adjourn and a second and the motion carried.
