Universal Licensing System

If are a new Ham and are trying to find out if your on the FCC database yet, look here where it matters. There are 3 manners of lookup and for new hams it’s going to be (by name) and for upgrades it’s any of the 3 way (By Callsign, FRN, and /or Name).

QRZ.com

QRZ is a great site for quick lookups of callsigns when having a qso, it also offers a online logbook which can track your qsos date, time, and qth. With a paid membership your able to upload your QSO logs to LOTW (Logbook of the World).

Logbook of the World

LOTW is provided by the ARRL and is free to use, in other words you don’t need to be an ARRL member in order to use this logbook, and most people that contest use it for awards, so it is good idea even if your not contesting to go ahead and use it so that those that do rely on conformations through LOTW for awards will get them.
